Farming Simulator 25 has a lot of different mechanics and systems that can make it a fairly complex game to learn, particularly as many of its features are not obvious or shown in the tutorial. Even beyond the basics of things like how to break up rocks and harvest crops, there are many more subtle things in the game that can make for a rich experience for players, if they ever come across them. These hidden features may not all be groundbreaking, but can cultivate some smiles alongside the game’s other attributes.
When someone is a beginner to Farming Simulator 25, they can easily become overwhelmed by how much information they are getting about this realistic farming simulation game. Therefore, it may take a long time before most players discover some of the more subtle hidden features, even though they may prove to be quite useful. Whether they are simply interesting details that developers put in, or are functional tricks to make some of the farm chores go easier, Farming Simulator 25 has many details and features for players to discover.
10 Pallets Change Colors With Age
At Least Four Slight Color Variations Noticed
In the grand scheme of the work on the farm, the color of the pallets is a fairly small detail. In previous versions of Farming Simulator pallets have been known to be a bit annoying to work with, without balancing or handling very well. In Farming Simulator 25, they do seem to be much better designed for players to load and unload pallets without the same amounts of frustration.
Besides being easier to work with, a small detail was added regarding the coloration of the pallets. Rather than them all being pretty obvious copy-paste images of the same pallet, now there are visual differences in them. Most noticeably, there are at least four slightly different colors of the pallets, giving some of them a more aged look.
9 Customize Animal Pens With Colors, Solar Panels, And Fence Layouts
Give Livestock A Unique Space To Call Home
Animal pens and pastures are able to be customized in all new ways with Farming Simulator 25, including changing colors of the fences, adding solar panels, and the new ability to draw the fences to be whatever shape players want. This can be especially handy in situations where someone may want to build a space for animals in a section of the farm that might be an odd shape or size, or has an obstacle in the way.
Just like a farmer would be able to do in real life, players can make their animals’ spaces look much more customized, although the options are still fairly limited. The dynamic customizations of the pastures makes raising these expensive friends more enjoyable by creating a cozy space for them on the farm.
8 Automatically Feed Animals With A Parked Trailer
Special Trick For Busy Farmers
On the subject of animals, sometimes staying on top of keeping their feeder full can slip the mind of a busy farmer who is rushing around taking care of fields. While the animals in Farming Simulator 25 do not die, going without food will cause them to stop producing resources.

The Farming Simulator Series Surprised Me By Becoming My Personal Therapy Tool
How I went from thinking Farming Simulator looked boring to making it my favorite form of relaxation and peace, particularly in stressful moments.
Several players, including Farm Fan on YouTube, who is referenced with another video in this list, discovered a simple trick to keeping food full longer. After filling the animal’s food trough, leaving a trailer full of its food next to the feed trough will result in the trailer automatically unloading some of its supply into the trough as needed. This only works for simple foods like grains, and not the Total Mixed Rations (TMR). However, it can be very useful as a backup plan when someone is frequently forgetting to feed their animals.
7 Turn Off Disaster Destruction From Extreme Weather Events
And Crop Destruction From Tires
Mother Nature is not always friendly to farmers, and Farming Simulator 25 shows that through the extreme weather that can happen in the three maps that players can be farming on. While it can certainly be a change of pace to see a tornado come through town, sometimes it isn’t very fun when someone has been working hard on their fields and is proud of what they have accomplished.
Hail, tornadoes, and other extreme weather can happen in the game and damage buildings, machinery, and crops. Thankfully, for players who do not want to experience this, in the Game Settings menu there is a place to disable Disaster Destruction. In the same menu, Crop Destruction can also be turned off to prevent crops being damaged by driving over them with the tractor.
6 Power Washers Can Now Be Easily Moved Around
Small Thing That Makes A Big Difference
Perhaps surprisingly, power washer (also known as pressure washers) get quite a bit of use in Farming Simulator. Naturally, equipment can quickly become very dirty while driving around the muddy farmland and carrying crops or animal supplies. The power washer is not new to the game, but in past versions, players would have to drive whatever they wanted to clean to the power washer and sometimes even get in and turn the vehicle around halfway through in order to reach the other side.
This was incredibly inconvenient, and a bit silly as well, particularly as the power washer clearly has handles and wheels on it. Now, in Farming Simulator 25, the power washer can finally be moved around easily by standing behind it and guiding it.
5 Easily See The Capacity Of A Trailer While Unloading Harvesters
No More Having To Switch Vehicles To Know What’s Going On
When harvesting, the harvester only has a limited capacity to hold items and so it must frequently be unloaded into another trailer in order to continue finishing a field. One new feature that is very easy to miss in Farming Simulator 25 is that players can now see what the capacity of the trailer or other vehicle is while they are in the harvester unloading.
The player character must be inside the harvester while the pipe is unloading into another trailer in order for this to be visible. When this happens, in the upper right corner of the screen, just underneath the calendar and clock, a small bar will appear showing the capacity of the trailer filling up. This can be immensely helpful for players to know when they need to go and unload their trailers, or if they can make another pass with the harvester first.
4 Get Free Water By Making A Tiny Rice Field Well
Special Trick By One Player That Saves Time And Money
As the above YouTube video by user Farm Fan shows, the addition of rice fields in Farming Simulator 25 can also provide players with an easy trick to essentially building their own well. By making the smallest possible rice field hole and flooding it with water, players can then fill up with water whenever they want for free. While it doesn’t quite make sense that flooding the rice fields doesn’t cost money, but other means of getting water do, this is one hack that can make things much easier.
Additionally, because players are building their little dot of a rice field wherever they would like, they can strategically place this pseudo well wherever they are generally needing water the most. This saves time and money, and with some decorations it can even look pretty nice.
3 Use Straps To Designate Which Products On A Trailer To Sell
Helpful If Carrying Several Things To Different Places
When selling off some of the goods from a small farm, sometimes players may load up their trailer with multiple types of products that ideally would be sold in different locations for the highest prices. One trick to make sure everything on the trailer doesn’t get sold at the same company, is to only unstrap the pallets for those items that are being sold in the current place.

Farming Sim 25 Sells 2 Million Copies In One Week, But Fans Aren’t Happy
Falling short of what fans wanted from the series, Farming Simulator 25 has room to grow, but the sales still paint an impressive picture.
Though it can seem a bit tedious to have to unstrap the goods on the trailer at all, this does allow players a little more control over what they are selling. Otherwise everything could disappear as soon as the button is clicked, when that may not be what was intended.
2 There Are Hidden Collectibles To Find Around The Map
Similar To Previous Farming Simulator Games
Farming Simulator 25 has a special secret objective of unique collectibles hidden around the map which can be fun to attempt to hunt down, but also incredibly difficult. Each map has collectibles of different types that work towards completion of a larger goal. For example, the Riverbend Springs map has 25 collectibles that are sold to the Grain Elevator Museum as part of their displays. Each collectible found provides money for the player’s character, and works towards finishing that project.
The tricky part is that no two collectibles are the same, and they tend to blend in extremely well with their surroundings. They are not highlighted and there are no hints given to the player, only a small button to “collect” when the player becomes close enough to the object in question.
1 Talk To The NPCs Around The World For Advice
NPCs Have More Personality Than Ever Before
Farming Simulator 25 does not have a story campaign but simply allows players to run their farms however they see fit. Because of this, and perhaps due to the difficult learning curve for beginners to running a farm, there are a few NPCs in the world that will help the player out by answering questions. They can also tell interesting anecdotes or even hints towards possible mysteries in the town, such as Katie talking about the crows in town being able to share gossip.
Each of these NPCs has a special focus. Ben is the one to talk to with questions about farming, Katie can help with anything livestock related, and Noah is a lumberjack who can help answer questions about logging. On the map, they are shown by a yellow dot, just as Grandpa Walter has, and can be fun to talk to when the player is near where they are. Although there is no story, their quirky personalities help with the immersive quality of Farming Simulator 25.
