1992 Blu-ray & DVD Release Date Set for Tyrese Gibson Thriller Movie

Lionsgate has announced the 1992 Blu-ray and DVD release date for its newest crime thriller starring Fast & Furious vet Tyrese Gibson. This comes after over two months since the Snoop Dogg-produced movie made its theatrical release.

“The film follows Mercer as he desperately tries to rebuild his life and his relationship with his son amidst the turbulent 1992 L.A. uprising following the Rodney King verdict,” reads the official synopsis. “Across town, another father and son put their own strained relationship to the test as they plot a dangerous heist from the factory where Mercer works. As tensions rise in Los Angeles and chaos erupts, both families reach their boiling points when they collide.”

When is the 1992 Blu-ray and DVD release date?

Following its digital release, 1992 will finally be available to purchase on Blu-ray and DVD starting tomorrow, November 5. Since its debut, the movie received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. It currently has a Popcornmeter score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film was directed by Ariel Vromen from a screenplay co-written by Vromen and Sascha Penn, based on the latter’s original story. The cast also includes Clé Bennett, Dylan Arnold, Christopher Ammanuel, Michael Beasley, Ori Pfeffer, Tosin Morohunfola, and Oleg Taktarov, with Scott Eastwood and Ray Liotta. It was produced by Vromen, Penn, Andreas Rommel, Maurice Fadida, and Adam Kolbrenner, with Snoop Dogg, Gibson, and Tita executive producing.
