For the second year in a row, all signs point to a running back winning the NFL’s Offensive Player of the year award, at least through four weeks.
The Niners’ Christian McCaffrey won the award last year, after racking up 1,459 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns, along with 564 receiving yards and seven receiving scores.
However, he is not in the running for OPOY, after San Francisco placed its star running back on IR last week.
So if not McCaffrey, who will be named the league’s top offensive star this season?
Here’s a look at the latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook as of Sept. 30.
NFL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR ODDS:
Saquon Barkley, Eagles RB: +450 (bet $10 to win $55 total)
Derrick Henry, Ravens WR: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Justin Jefferson, Vikings WR: +600 (bet $10 to win $70 total)
CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys WR: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)
Nico Collins, Texans WR: +1000 (bet $10 to win $110 total)
Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals WR: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions RB: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
For the third consecutive week, the Eagles’ new running back Saquon Barkley is atop the oddsboard. Through four weeks, he has 435 rushing yards and four rushing scores.
However, he moved from +350 to +450 over the past week. In fact, this past week was all about another running back: Baltimore’s Derrick Henry.
Serving as a blast from the past, Henry was fifth on the oddsboard last week, after a dominant showing in a 28-25 win over Dallas in Week 3, where he rushed for 151 yards and two TDs on 25 carries.
Then, in Week 4, Henry was even more impressive, tallying 199 rushing yards and a score in the Ravens’ 35-10 win over Buffalo.

Henry now leads the league in rushing yards (480) and is tied for the lead in rushing scores (5).
Henry was named Offensive Player of the Year back in 2020.
