AFTER finishing off the epic European leg of her Eras tour, you’d think Taylor Swift would be putting her feet up.
But behind the scenes the US superstar is already busy looking ahead to her next projects.
And one of those could finally be adding “author” to her bulging CV and achievements, after she trademarked the name and rights to her debut novel.
The tome, titled A Girl Called Girl, was written by Taylor when she was a teenager and is about a mother who wanted a son instead of a daughter.
While Taylor was just 14 when she wrote the story, it has never seen the light of day and the draft was previously believed to be in the care of her parents.
It’s not the first time the star has trademarked the book, and back in 2015 she secured the rights to the name for the first time.

But after sitting on the project for almost a decade, it seems her fans could now be one step closer to getting their hands on it.
The new trademark covers merchandise for the book, as well as audio versions, which makes it seem like Taylor is finally gearing up to release it to the world.
She previously revealed she started writing the tale before her music career really took off, explaining while on tour in 2012: “All my friends were back in Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do.
“I had this epiphany; I’m going to be a novelist and I’m going to write novels. That’s going to be my career path.”
We all know Taylor’s music career ended up going stellar and she will head back on the road in November before finishing off her mammoth run of concerts on December 8 in Vancouver.
She has a lot of other projects in the pipeline, including the re-recorded version of 2017 album Reputation, which her fans are, quite honestly, getting hysterical about now.
Adding this book into the mix would lead to screams that are off the scale.
It Shaw looks messy
THINGS could get awkward at next month’s MTV Video Music Awards after Shawn Mendes was added to the line-up.
Sabrina Carpenter, who will also perform, slates the Canadian heart-throb on her new album Short N’ Sweet following their fling last year.
She was left heartbroken after he left her and got back with his ex-girlfriend, Camila Cabello, for a second brief romance.
To make matters worse, Camila is also on the line-up for the event in New York on September 11.
The acrylics and hair extensions could be flying – get your popcorn ready.
Kaia sea-thes at ex
IT looks like Kaia Gerber’s holiday reading has got her feeling seriously p***ed off.
The model, who has been dating Elvis actor Austin Butler for two years, shared a scathing Instagram post with her ten million followers – and appeared to be making a dig about an ex.
Kaia revealed she was reading Virginie Despentes’ Dear D***head – and captioned the snap: “A book for someone I used to know.”
She even used an old-school highlighter to flag this paragraph: “At this point, your sheer dumbf*ery commands a certain respect.
“But it doesn’t change the basics; I don’t give a s**t about you.”
Ouch!
Jenna’s night on the gown in Venice
JENNA ORTEGA made sure she stood out from the crowd at Venice Film Festival – after trying to blend in when she went sightseeing earlier.
The Wednesday actress who appears in Sabrina Carpenter’s downright filthy video for her new, soon-to-be-No1 single Taste, wore this glam red dress as she arrived for the premiere of her new film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Earlier this week she went almost completely unnoticed as she strolled around the historic Italian city.
Jenna plays Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder’s character Lydia in the Tim Burton sequel.
She was joined by A-list stars including Angelina Jolie and Sigourney Weaver, who are also in town for the festival.
I hope Jenna managed to enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasted.
I doubt she’ll be able to hit the streets for much longer without fans spotting her.
Coldplay spreading the love
COLDPLAY guitarist Jonny Buckland says the band want to spread peace with their new album Moon Music.
That’s no mean feat given the state of the world at the moment.
Speaking about the record, out on October 4, he said: “It all comes back to love and people mostly being amazing and great, even though things seem quite bad at times. Most just want to be peaceful and have a nice time with each other. So it always comes back to that.”
I’m all for anything that gives us a lift.
Posh is earning
THE people who doubted Posh Spice’s attempts to become a profitable fashion designer might Wannabe preparing an apology.
New figures for her fashion and beauty business have revealed that her sales are up more than 50 per cent from 2022-2023 – at £89.1million.
Losses at her company have also been cut to £200,000 in 2023, down from £900,000 the year before.
Her £850 gathered waist mini dress accounted for one in ten of her online sales last year.
After launching her range in 2008, Posh hasn’t had it easy – with husband David pumping in cash to keep the business going.
Looks like the hard work and determination is all paying off.
Tatum tees up shirts
TWO blokes spring to mind when I think of white T-shirts – Simon Cowell and Channing Tatum.
And the latter has admitted he hates washing his clothes so much, he once bought enough of the crisp, cotton tops to keep him going for an entire year.
Speaking to GQ, the Magic Mike actor said: “I hate doing laundry.
“Like I hate it more than I could possibly say.”
Recalling one year in the early Noughties, when he solidly wore white tees, Channing said: “I don’t think I did laundry all year that year.
“I just wore white T-shirts that I just bought.
“I’d be like, ‘I can get, like, two wears out of this a week’.”
Haters of fast fashion will no doubt be burning effigies of Channing right now.
Rita to let rip with star
RITA ORA is making sure her next album is All About That Bass . . . by teaming up with Meghan Trainor.
I’m told the Anywhere singer will fly to LA next month to go into the studio with Meg.
My insider said: “Rita and Meghan have been huge fans of each other for years.
“They were meant to go into the studio earlier this year. Now Rita is flying over to the US to work on her fourth album and she has rearranged time with Meg.”
