The WNBA’s rookie three-pointer record officially belongs to Caitlin Clark.
Knocking down her 86th three-pointer on Wednesday against the Connecticut Sun, the Indiana Fever star surpassed Rhyne Howard’s previous record of 85.
Clark tied Howard’s mark on Monday in a game against the Atlanta Dream. Howard hit 85 three-pointers during her rookie campaign with the Dream in 2022.
This is far from the only history Clark has made this season. Some of her other accomplishments include setting the single-season rookie record for assists, the single-game record for assists, and recording the first triple-double in Fever history, which was also the first for a rookie in the WNBA.
Meanwhile, the Fever are 14-16 on the season, sitting seventh in the 12-team league. Eight teams advance to the playoffs, which begin on Sept. 22.
