Monster tamer Pry Into The Void gets a trailer and playable demo

DANGEN Entertainment has announced they have released a new updated demo for their upcoming bleak monster-taming RPG Pry Into The Void.  Inspired by the Shin Megami Tensei series, Pry Into The Void will take players to a dark and enigmatic world where they will confront a variety of monsters.  A new trailer accompanying the new demo (see below) provides a peek into the game’s dark world, it’s turn-based battle sequences and its dilemmas.

The latest demo will allow players to experience new content, including new cutscenes, a lot of polish and new gameplay mechanics, including ‘Battle Challenges’ that provide players with an extra dimension to their combat.

In Pry Into The Void, players take the role of a young man named Josef who has been sent into the Void to defeat a powerful entity that is draining the world of its life. Despite his unassuming appearance, Josef has the ability to pry into the hearts of monsters and must use this to gain allies to help him achieve his goal.

Players will journey with Josef through a branching storyline that explores the moral dilemmas that the in-game character faces and the moral decisions made by the player.  The decisions the player makes will have consequences on how Josef sees the world.

Pry Into The Void features:

  • A challenging turn-based combat system to build the perfect team of monsters and exploit enemy weaknesses.
  • Negotiate and solve the moral dilemmas with the souls of monsters in order to recruit them. Each monster has a different dilemma.
  • A bleak and depraved tale that challenges the ways in which players think about each of the characters. What is true good and evil?
  • Mild horror elements and creepy imagery.
  • Metal soundtrack composed by Jun Mitsui.

What will you see at the bottom of the void when Pry Into The Void releases on PC and consoles?
