“We’re not altering the future, we’re just giving it a make-over.” Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a time travel slasher horror movie called Time Cut, arriving to watch on Netflix at the end of October in just a few weeks. “To stop this killer, they’ll need to rewrite history.” Didn’t we already see this? Haven’t they already done a time travel slasher before? From the producers of Freaky, also a twisted high school horror concept, in Time Cut a teenage girl travels back to the early 2000s to stop a vicious killer from murdering her sister. A teen in 2024 accidentally time-travels to 2003, days before a masked killer murders her sister. Can she change the past without destroying the future? Probably. This stars Madison Bailey & Antonia Gentry, with Michael Shanks, and Griffin Gluck, plus Rachael Crawford, Jordan Pettle, Megan Best, Samuel Braun, Sydney Sabiston, and Kataem O’Connor. Why does this main girl look & sound exactly like Zendaya? There’s an escalator kill in this? As fun as it seems, this looks so cheap & cheesy. Nah.
Here’s the official trailer (+ two posters) for Hannah Macpherson’s Time Cut, from Netflix’s YouTube:
“Can she change the past without destroying the future?” When Lucy Field (Madison Bailey) discovers a time machine — just another day in the life of a high school science whiz — she decides to travel back and prevent the crime that’s haunted her young life: the murder of her older sister Summer (Antonia Gentry). Can she survive the early ’00s and unmask the killer? Or will she say “Bye Bye Bye”… to her life?!? Only time will tell. Time Cut is directed by the American writer / producer / filmmaker Hannah Macpherson, director of the film Sickhouse and the “T@gged” series previously, plus episodes of “Trinkets” and “School Spirits” and many other shorts. The screenplay is written by Michael Kennedy and Hannah Macpherson. From a story by Michael Kennedy. It’s produced by Matt Kaplan and Christopher Landon. Netflix will debut Macpherson’s Time Cut comedy in streaming on on Netflix starting October 30th, 2024. Want to watch?
