LeBron James and Steph Curry gave fans a first look at Team USA’s uniforms for the upcoming Olympics.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors stars posed in the red, white and blue threads the United States will wear as they go for a gold medal in Paris later this month.
James will be competing in his fourth Olympics this summer—tied for the most of any player in NBA history. He first competed in the 2004 Olympics in Athens when Team USA came up short and won bronze, but he led the 2008 “Redeem Team” that won gold in Beijing. The last time he was a member of Team USA was at the 2012 Olympics in London, where the United States also won gold.
James did not compete in the last two Olympics, but makes his return this year hungry for another gold medal alongside a roster full of stars.
Though Curry has an illustrious career, this will be the first time he competes for Team USA in the Olympics. He was set to go to the 2016 Olympics in Rio but had to withdraw after injuries.
Led by head coach Steve Kerr, Team USA consists of veterans like James, Curry, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard while also welcoming some young stars like Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton.
With some of the biggest names in the NBA competing for Team USA, there will be high expectations for this year’s squad.
Team USA will begin its quest for gold on July 28 when it faces a Nikola Jokić-led Serbia team.
