Scary Teaser Trailer for ‘Heart Eyes’ Horror Comedy Starring Olivia Holt

“No couple is safe.” 😍 Sony Pictures has revealed the teaser trailer for Heart Eyes, a horror comedy from filmmaker Josh Ruben. From a screenplay that’s co-written by the modern horror masterminds Christopher Landon & Michael Kennedy (Freaky, It’s a Wonderful Knife, Time Cut), plus Phillip Murphy. Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding co-star in this. The film kicks off with the “Heart Eyes Killer” striking Seattle, and a pair of co-workers doing overtime on Valentine’s Day being mistaken for a couple by the elusive killer. The two head off on the run navigating the city’s romantic landscape while evading the killer. “My love of horror is rivaled only by my love of romantic comedies. [It’s] my most challenging genre bender to date: a brutal slasher in a nostalgic rom-com universe.” This sounds cool – a slasher horror x romantic comedy mashup. Two co-workers (Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding) are mistaken for a couple by a murderer in Seattle on Valentine’s Day. Forced to evade the killer, they must navigate the city’s romantic landscape while also working together to survive. Heart Eyes is directed by American actor / filmmaker Josh Ruben, making his third feature film after Scare Me and Werewolves Within previously, as well as a few other shorts and lots of TV work. The screenplay is written by Phillip Murphy, and Christopher Landon & Michael Kennedy. It’s produced by Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks, Christopher Landon. Made by Spyglass Media and Screen Gems, along with Ground Control and Divide/Conquer. Sony Pictures will debut Ruben’s Heart Eyes horror comedy movie in theaters starting February 7th, 2025 next year (just in time for Valentine’s Day). Cool?
