Despite his historical success at the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic does not enter as the favorite.

The Serbian enters the Australian Open weeks removed from a stunning straight-set loss to then-ranked World No. 293, Reilly Opelka.

Despite the improbable loss, there is little reason for concern for Djokovic, who has won 10 titles at Melbourne Park.

Djokovic should be able to reach the quarterfinal round, where a tough matchup with Carlos Alcaraz likely awaits.

In the top half of the draw, everyone is going after Jannik Sinner.

The top seed won both hard-court Grand Slams in 2024, but a potential matchup against the heavy-serving Hubert Hurkacz or Holger Rune in the fourth round will not be easy.

Elsewhere, he might need to overcome last year’s runner-up Daniil Medvedev once more.

Given his continued hard-court dominance, Sinner should be able to reach the final, where a matchup with Carlos Alcaraz, who is attempting to become the youngest player to capture the career Grand Slam, likely awaits.

Prediction: Sinner over Alcaraz in the final
