Go Do That! is a curated roundup of weekend arts and culture events from the San Antonio Report. We’re taking a break from Instagram this week but will be back next Thursday.
Thursday night, local music artist Baby Aztro opens for The Pharcyde at Stable Hall, with San Antonio DJ Donnie Dee providing ill spins. Doors open at 7 p.m.
On Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., head to Galeria E.V.A. for Jacalito, an event featuring art and words by multidisciplinary artist Beto Davila, a “Lipan Apache & Xican@ indigequeer herbalist and food researcher.”
Later on Friday, local act on the rise Carbonlily will perform two shows at River Sun, one at 9:30 p.m. and a late set starting at 11:15 p.m. Catch her in this intimate setting before she headlines the Little Carver Theatre on Nov. 15.
Saturday afternoon, head to Artpace for an eccentric, free-form postcard-making workshop by local artist and bon vivant Gary Sweeney. Registration is $30 and includes materials.
Have you ever seen a chupacabra up close? Saturday evening at Pittman-Sullivan Park diamond, the sandlot baseball season eases in at 7 p.m. with a match between San Antonio’s own Los Slowpokes and the Chupacabras from El Paso. Rumor has it that Church Burger will be on hand serving up smash burgers.
