During an interview on NFL Network, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers congratulated his ex-Green Bay Packers teammate, Jordan Love, after he landed a four-year, $220 million contract extension.
Rodgers also had a message for Love about his old Green Bay house, which is still on the market, if the newly paid signal-caller is looking for a place to live.
The Packers selected Love with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Utah State. It was a controversial pick at the time as Rodgers was still excelling for the Packers, who were coming off an NFC Championship Game appearance.
Love then rode the bench behind Rodgers, who proceeded to win the NFL MVP award in 2020 and 2021. Rodgers remained the Packers’ starter in 2022, but the two sides parted ways in 2023 when the New York Jets acquired him via trade.
Love took over as starter and enjoyed a great first season, throwing for 32 touchdowns and 4,159 yards while leading Green Bay to the NFC Divisional round.
The two are clearly on good termsāLove once said that he and Rodgers have a “great relationship”āso it’s no surprise that the veteran wished him well.
