Alan Tudyk to play a secret role in 2025’s Superman movie

According to a report by Deadline, Alan Tudyk will be appearing in the 2025 movie Superman. However, DC has not provided any information about the character yet.

Tudyk has already signed on to play the role of the DC villain Doctor Phosphorous in the animated series Creature Commandos. However, it’s currently unconfirmed whether Tudyk will be reprising this role in Superman. Tudyk is also the voice actor of Clayface in the animated series Harley Quinn, which airs on Max. Creature Commandos is set to kickstart the first phase of the new DC universe, Gods and Monsters.

Confirming the news of starring in Superman in a post on Threads, Tudyk said, ”Between you and me – I am playing Jimmy Olson’s French photographer friend, Bertrand ‘Bertie’ Muegler, who specializes in adult avant-guarde snaps. Wears a cape, but isn’t a super hero, just a fashion slut.”

Tudyk is now the second actor to be playing both a live-action and animated role in the DCU. Frank Grillo, who voices the role of Rick Flag Sr. in Creature Commandos, was confirmed to be playing the same character in live-action projects as well. He will also be starring in both Peacemaker Season 2 and Superman as Rick Flag Sr.
