Alejandro Garnacho appears to like social media post making fun of team-mate after Man United’s 3-2 defeat by Nottingham Forest

Alejandro Garnacho appeared to like a critical social media post about Lisandro Martinez after Man United suffered their second successive Premier League defeat.

Ruben Amorim’s side lost 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, as the affair seemed to feel like an uphill battle from the opening minutes.

Nikola Milenkovic climbed over Martinez to score his first goal for Forest, less than two minutes into the contest.

The Argentine was widely criticised by fans and pundits alike, with Jamie Redknapp even comparing his defensive efforts to those of a ‘little boy’.

After the game, a screenshot was released by an X user, showing a notification where Garnacho appears to like one of their posts about Martinez.

The post read: ‘Unfortunately Lisandro Martinez got beat in the air,’ beside a photo of the United defender losing an aerial duel to Milenkovic.

Garnacho has previously caused controversy with his antics on social media, even being dropped by Erik ten Hag in the past.

In September, the winger liked a post from Fabrizio Romano detailing Cristiano Ronaldo’s criticism of United’s former manager.

In an interview with Rio Ferdinand, the Portugal international claimed that United need to ‘rebuild’ and questioned Ten Hag’s decision to say the club cannot compete for the league.

It was reported that Garnacho was not dropped for this reason and that the decision was purely tactical, to which many scoffed at.

His brother Roberto Garnacho also has a large presence on X, often providing his opinions on United, and largely supported Amorim’s appointment last month.
