It’s fairly surprising to say, but it’s true— “Andor” is the best thing going right now for the “Star Wars” universe. This is a series that is kinda off on its own, linking only with “Rogue One,” and not attached to anything Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have cooking up. Yet, it’s still the best “Star Wars” live-action series. And now we know when it’s coming back for Season 2.
As revealed during D23 Brazil, “Andor” Season 2 is set to return to Disney+ on April 22, 2025. That means we are less than six months away from what is expected to be a banger of a season. Previously, we learned that Season 2 will actually span a total of four years, in continuity, with every three episodes covering one year in the life of Cassian Andor.

“Andor” is the brainchild of Tony Gilroy, the man who stepped in during the post-production of “Rogue One” and changed the film quite a bit. You may remember that Gilroy was brought in to work on new scenes and reshoots for the ‘Star Wars’ film. And according to most reports, he was a crucial person in the finished product.
Of course, “Andor” is far from the only “Star Wars” series coming to Disney+ over the next year. We already know the studio is releasing “The Skeleton Crew” in December. In addition, Filoni and Favreau are likely working on “Ahsoka” Season 2 and whatever else is going on with their little connected universe.
As mentioned, “Andor” Season 2 is arriving on April 22, 2025.
