From prison bars to “Dancing With The Stars!”
“Fake Heiress”-turned-fashion-publicist Anna Delvey has signed up for the ballroom reality show, Page Six has learned.
Delvey was jailed in 2019 for posing as a German heiress to con businesses and individuals out of more than $250,000.
Since 2022 she’s been under house arrest while waiting to find out if she’d be allowed to stay in the US after completing her sentence. But as Page Six recently reported, the terms of her house arrest were recently relaxed, allowing her to work and to travel freely within 70 miles of her home.
She’s also been given a Social Security number and has been allowed to return to social media.
It seems she’s been given special permission to travel to LA, where the longrunning ABC she reality competition tapes.
She’s not the first contestant to have served some time. Past hopefuls Tommy Chong, Lil Kim and Steve O have all seen the inside of a cell. But she appears to be the first “DWTS” contestant who has become a household name because of their criminal activities.
We hear she’s already headed to LA to prepare to compete.
It’s going to be a busy time for the ex-con. As we’ve previously reported, she launched a fashion PR agency, the OutLaw Agency, with veteran fashion flack Kelly Cutrone and is also gearing up for her first Fashion Week as a (kinda) free woman.
It’s not her first brush with TV stardom. The Netflix show “Inventing Anna” was based on her life. She’s also been working on a reality show of her own, “Delvey’s Dinner Club.”
A rep for “DWTS” said it doesn’t comment on casting “rumors.”
