Art The Clown Stalks New Prey On Christmas

The story of the “Terrifier” franchise is pretty remarkable. The way the film series has built its fanbase through true word of mouth is commendable. Now, with “Terrifer 3,” the franchise hopes to cash in on the grassroots marketing with a big theatrical run.

As seen in the trailer, “Terrifier 3” continues the story of Art the Clown, a demented serial killer with sometimes supernatural abilities. The film stars Lauren LaVera, Samantha Scaffidi, Elliott Fullam, Daniel Roebuck, Antonella Rose, Krsy Fox, Clint Howard, Jon Abrahams, Chris Jericho, and Jason Patric. Once again, filmmaker Damien Leone returns to write and direct.

However, the biggest story about “Terrifier” is how it’s built a loyal and devoted fanbase. The first “Terrifier” film was a true indie endeavor, forgoing a theatrical release for a streaming debut. The film was then on Netflix and streaming services for a while, attracting horror fans through word of mouth.

Then, when the sequel arrived in 2022, it was given a really small theatrical release. But that all changed when the film started to sell out screenings, and more and more screens were added to the release. Interestingly, the sequel did all this box office success with no rating. The film was released unrated, which is almost unheard of nowadays.

Now, “Terrifier 3” is getting a major release and could begin to break more records for the franchise. We shall see. “Terrifier 3” is set to release in theaters on October 11. You can watch the teaser below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
