Awesome Mind-Bending Sci-Fi Thriller ‘It’s What’s Inside’ Full Trailer

“It is us against them!” So what’s in the box? You have to watch to find out! Netflix has revealed an official trailer for one of my favorite midnight movies of 2024 – called It’s What’s Inside. It originally premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to rave reviews (here’s mine) and became one of the big breakouts from the festival – playing at Beyond Fest next. A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges. Starring Brittany O’Grady, James Morosini, Gavin Leatherwood, Nina Bloomgarden, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Reina Hardesty, Devon Terrell, and David Thompson. This was shot in secret, made in secret, and it was a big surprise blowing the roof off of the venue at Sundance. I love it! Such a clever, smart, genre reinvention that is a complete mindfuck. This is what incredible genre cinema can do nowadays! Don’t even watch the trailer just go in fresh. Or have a peek.

It’s What’s Inside is set at a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an old friend shows up with a mysterious suitcase. The party guests include anxious Shelby (Brittany O’Grady), her insensitive boyfriend Cyrus (James Morosini), the globally envied influencer Nikki (Alycia Debnam-Carey), charming groom Reuben (Devon Terrell), trust-fund kid Dennis (Gavin Leatherwood), the artist Brooke (Reina Hardesty), & spiritual Maya (Nina Bloomgarden). Then there’s the enigmatic Forbes (David Thompson). It’s What’s Inside is directed by American indie filmmaker Greg Jardin, making his feature directorial debut after many short films and music videos previously. The screenplay is also written by Greg Jardin. It’s produced by William Rosenfeld, Kate Andrews, Jason Baum, Raúl Domingo. This first premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year (read our review). Netflix will debut Jardin’s It’s What’s Inside streaming on Netflix worldwide starting on October 4th, 2024 this fall. Want to watch?
