Evicted Big Brother 26 houseguest Cedric Hodges admitted that he thought about sabotaging Makensy Manbeck’s game during the BB A.I. Arena competition. Cedric was evicted in a blindside vote after Kimo Apaka and T’kor Clottey came up with a plan to destroy the Pentagon alliance. Cedric had volunteered to be a pawn for Big Brother 26 Deepfake HOH Quinn Martin, but things went awry when their target, Tucker Des Lauriers won the Power of Veto and Makensy won the BB A.I. Arena competition against Cedric and Rubina Bernabe.

In an interview with EW, Cedric revealed his plan to sabotage Makensy during the BB A.I. Arena competition, in which Cedric, Makensy, and Rubina had to get five colored balls into the middle of a ramp, and then use silver balls to knock them off. Cedric shared, “I almost went up and sabotaged Makensy’s balls” because he knew he’d be safer against her on the chopping block. Cedric explained, “I was literally just going to go over there and stand by her, and every time she rolled one up I was going to hit it down.”Cedric confessed that he wished he’d done it.

Cedric Explains Why He Volunteered As A Pawn

When asked if he regretted volunteering as a pawn and going on the chopping block, Cedric replied, “So pawns go home. Clearly. Do I regret it? I regret it only because I got evicted.“ Cedric said that when he initially volunteered, they thought that Quinn would be able to vote, so they had the votes for him to stay, even if T’Kor Clottey and Kimo Apaka voted outside of the Collective alliance. He explained, “So really, I volunteered as a loyalty test to T’Kor and Kimo, which went terribly wrong when Quinn lost the ability to vote with his Deep Fake HOH.”

Cedric added that he was “at peace with it” because if it would’ve worked, it would’ve set his game up to be really smooth until the end. He also said that the hardest part for him wasn’t losing the opportunity to win Big Brother 26 or losing the money, but rather that he “lost 12 of my best friends.” Cedric’s plan was a good one, but he unfortunately lost the BB A.I. Arena competition. It’s good that he didn’t sabotage Makensy’s game because he seems like the kind of person who wouldn’t want to win in that way.

Cedric should definitely be proud of how he handled himself throughout Big Brother 26. He maintained his composure when Tucker wrongly accused him of not warning him not to use the Power of Veto on Angela during his HOH reign. Cedric was mature and poised and, at times, it was hard to believe that he was only 21 years old. He skyrocketed to power as HOH after being a BB Mascot with no ability to play the game during week 1. Cedric was a power player, and he’ll be missed. Hopefully, he’ll have a second chance to play the game in a future Big Brother season.
