Body of motorcyclist found next to Pacific Highway in Nabiac, NSW

The body of a motorcyclist has been found next to a highway in the NSW Mid North Coast.

A passing cyclist noticed the man’s body lying in scrub 3m-4m from the Pacific Hwy in Nabiac about 11am on Saturday.

Police were called and when they arrived at the scene they discovered a damaged motorcycle several metres away.

“It’s believed the crash may have occurred 24-48 hours before the man’s body was found,” police said.

The man is thought to be in his 40s and from the Hunter region however a post-mortem will be conducted to confirm his identity and cause of death.

“An investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death,” police said.
