Millions jumped on board the online trend, saying they would love to join the party.

Bunnings is now pulling together all the pieces, with the warehouse bonanza celebrating local music to be hosted within weeks.

“We have loved seeing all Aussie music lovers across the country share their enthusiasm for a Bunnings rave,” a spokesperson said.

“So, it comes with great excitement to confirm that together with Peking Duk, What So Not and Kaila, we’ve found a way to give the people what they want – the Bunnings Warehouse Party is happening late August.”

The idea was initially presented in a lighthearted “petition” from Sydney DJ Kaila after he remixed the Bunnings jingle with drum and base.

Electronic music acts Peking Duk and What So Not also joined the chorus calling for the rave, with the former sharing their own take on the memorable tune.

“The people have spoken and Bunnings have listened. We’re doing this. Y’all made this happen,” Peking Duk’s Reuben Styles said when the event was confirmed.

“We’re going to have a rave with Bunnings but we still don’t know where so pick a spot, pick a state, pick a Bunnings. Where do you wanna do this party?”

Bunnings, which has close to 300 stores across Australia, said more details are coming soon, so “watch this space”.
