This Uptown Girl woke up on the right side of the bed.
Timeless beauty Christie Brinkley graces the July cover of Hamptons’ magazine Social Life, sharing her tips for feeling sexy at any age with editor-in-chief Devorah Rose.
“I’ve decided to take off my glasses, and I encourage others to do the same. When I put on a little makeup or even when I look at my Instagram, I make sure my glasses are off because I don’t need to overthink or criticize every little detail. Who has time for that?” the 70-year-old model, actress, entrepreneur and mom of three told the outlet.
“I want to see the world with a little blur. I think that’s the best advice I can give: Take off your glasses, stop looking for imperfections, and enjoy your life.”
In May, Brinkley launched a clothing line for HSN, inspired by her 11,000-square-foot historic Bridgehampton home she refers to as Tower Hill.
The label, called TWRHLL, promotes body positivity, offering a range of sizes from extra small to 3X.
“Nowadays you see so many girls wearing Saran Wrap dresses and barely-there pieces. It looks uncomfortable to me,” she told the magazine.
“In this era of female empowerment and body positivity, shouldn’t we be embracing our beauty and strength, not sacrificing them for uncomfortable trends? I hope to help women feel happy and confident.”
