MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resolve the cases involving motions for consideration filed by nuisance bets by next week, Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Thursday.
According to Garcia, they will follow their commitment to resolve cases of nuisance candidates before the end of the month.
“Lahat ng mga nagfile ng motion for consideration (All those who filed motion for consideration), we will decide and resolve everything by next week,” Garcia said in an ambush interview.
“It is our commitment to resolve nuisance cases, especially the national [posts], before November ends,” Garcia said in a mix of Filipino and English.

Garcia said that 14 cases involving motions for reconsideration have been filed as of Wednesday. One of the nuisance bets who are opposing the tag is internet personality Norman Mangusin, who uses the name Francis Leo Marcos.
Further, Mangusin’s senatorial bid in the 2022 polls was not blocked by Comelec. However, Garcia said that decisions might change overtime.
