The Washington Commanders have suspended an executive who made disparaging comments about the team’s players, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Per ESPN’s John Keim, the Commanders said that vice president of content Rael Enteen has been suspended for comments he made to an undercover reporter for the O’Keefe Media Group where he described the team’s players as anit-gay, Jones as racist and anti-gay, and Goodell as a “$50 million puppet.”

Enteen has worked for the Commanders organization for the past four years and spent two years with the New York Jets before joining Washington. O’Keefe Media Group released a social media video that explained that he met the undercover reporter on the dating app Hinge and had two meetings with her at local restaurants.

Enteen reportedly told the reporter, “Over 50 percent of our roster is white religious and God says, ‘F–k the gays.’ Their interpretation. I don’t buy any of that. Another big chunk is low-income African Americans that come from a community that is inherently very homophobic.”

He also said, “I don’t think the commissioner of the NFL hates gay people, hates Black people. Jerry Jones, who really runs the NFL, I think he hates gay people, Black people.”

Enteen also questioned the intelligence of football players, calling them “dumb as hell” and saying he believes those who “get their heads knocked around a few times” are more susceptible to conspiracy theories.

Enteen also made disparaging comments about football fans and questioned the integrity of the league’s social justice initiatives, calling them “performative.”

“The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization,” a team spokesperson said in a statement. “We have suspended the employee pending an investigation and will reserve further comment at this time.”
