A cyclist has died in an alleged hit-and-run in Port Melbourne.
Victoria Police say the man — who has not been formally identified — crashed with the car on Plummer St about 8pm, after which the car allegedly drove off.
The cyclist died at the site of the crash.
“The offending driver came forward shortly after and is currently in custody,” Victoria Police said.

“The exact circumstances are yet to be determined, and investigations remain ongoing.”
