Almost six months ago, we learned that Cate Blanchett was going to star in the Zellner Brothers’ next film, “Alpha Gang.” At the time, it was big news because it seemed as if the filmmakers nabbed a huge star for their film. Well, the rest of the principal cast has been announced, and wow, it’s filled with massive stars.

According to Deadline, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, Riley Keough, and Channing Tatum have all been added to the cast for the upcoming film, “Alpha Gang.” The film tells the story of a group of alien invaders who come to Earth disguised as a 1950s biker gang. Everything in their world domination plan is working pretty well until they succumb to the most toxic and contagious human condition of all: emotions. Yeah, this sounds like a Zellner Brothers movie.

The new recruits to the cast are some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Tatum is incredibly well-known and coming off two big roles—a scene-stealing supporting role in “Deadpool & Wolverine” and an acclaimed performance in “Blink Twice.” Bautista is probably best known for his Marvel Studios work. Kravitz is coming off her directorial debut, the aforementioned “Blink Twice.” Seydoux is one of the most famous French actors working today. Keough appeared in the Prim Video series, “Daisy Jones and the Six.” And Steven Yeun has made appearances in films such as “Minari,” “Nope,” and the TV show “Beef.”
There’s no release date set for “Alpha Gang.” However, we know the film is expected to begin production in spring 2025. So, it’s most likely the film will be ready in 2026.
