Dave Portnoy speaks out after Caitlin Clark ‘plays like a**’ in Fever loss… with Barstool boss in line for $10MILLION if Indiana wins WNBA title

Dave Portnoy spoke out on Caitlin Clark playing ‘like a**’ in the Indiana Fever’s 86-75 loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday night.

The complaint comes as the Barstool Sports chief had placed a $100k bet on the Fever to win the WNBA title in August. The bet could win Portnoy $10.1m, should the rookie sensation lead her team to a title.

As Clark struggled on the floor against the defending champions, Portnoy took to Twitter to express his frustration on the Fever star’s behalf.

‘Get this game outta the system,’ Portnoy wrote on X. ‘Flush it. They were bound for a clunker. Caitlin shot/played like a**.

‘Shocking they even hung around with her being that cold. All that matters at this point is to be rested and ready for playoffs.’

Portnoy also posted a video of Clark getting called for an offensive foul, writing: ‘Caitlin Clark is having a rare off night but in what world is this an offensive foul?’

Furthermore, he called for Lexie Hull to be removed from the game due to foul trouble and pointed out the ‘odd rotations’ from Fever coach Christie Sides.

Clark finished the game with 16 points and six assists, below her 19.2 and 8.5 averages in those statistics, respectively. The rookie also shot a dreadful 6-for-22 from the field and 1-for-10 from three.

In a tweet showing his ambitious bet on the Fever to win a title, Portnoy claimed that Clark is a ‘top 3 player in the league’.

‘Maybe the best. She got rest for the 1st time in a year. Ayliah Boston and her chemistry grows every game. They started 1-8. 10-7 since then and improving. I had to do it.’

The win moved Las Vegas to a 23-13 record as they sit fourth in the league standings and second in the Western Conference. On the other hand, the sixth-seeded Fever moved to 19-18.

Indiana has three more games while Las Vegas has four. The teams will meet again on Friday in their final regular season showdown.
