Dead Man’s Wire Cast Adds Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo has joined the cast of Dead Man’s Wire, an upcoming hostage thriller from director Gus Van Sant.

Per Deadline, Domingo recently wrapped his scenes on Edgar Wright’s The Running Man, where he will play the host of the world’s most dangerous game show. Richard Dawson famously played the game-show host in 1987’s The Running Man, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Domingo’s star rose in 2024 thanks to roles in film and television. Domingo headlined A24’s Sing Sing, a moving drama about a group of incarcerated men who form a theater group. For his role as Divine G, Domingo is expected to receive a nomination for Best Actor at the 2025 Oscars.

Domingo starred in Netflix’s conspiracy TV show The Madness. Released on November 28, 2024, The Madness shot up the top 10 charts to become the No. 1 show on Netflix.

Domingo joins a Dead Man’s Wire cast that includes Bill Skarsgård and Dacre Montgomery. Per the movie’s logline, “Dead Man’s Wire follows a former real estate developer who takes the mortgage banker who did him wrong hostage, demanding $5 million and a personal apology.”

Filming for Dead Man’s Wire has begun in Louisville, Kentucky.
