The intruder smashed through a window in an attempt to escape, dropping a bag full of stolen items, including medication and a bank card.

It’s understood the man injured himself while jumping down from the roof before fleeing.

He made it only 50 metres from the house before he required treatment from paramedics and was taken to the Royal Adelaide hospital, under arrest and injured.

He has since been charged with serious criminal trespass, property damage, and aggravated assault.
