An elderly woman has died in a shocking alleged murder at a retirement home in Perth.
The 88-year-old woman was found dead inside a retirement home on Olivenza Cres at Port Kennedy about 4.10am on Saturday.
A 75-year-old woman who was known to the deceased woman was taken into police custody and charged with murder.

“The victim and accused in this matter were known to one another and have shared a room in the retirement village for four days,” police said.
“She is due to appear before the Northbridge Magistrate’s Court via video link on 26 January 2025.”
The retirement home is located across the road from Rockingham Lakes Primary School.
