We’re making a list (and checking it twice) of all the new titles heading to Max throughout the month of December, and it’s looking good for subscribers of the streaming service who like football, Clint Eastwood, and ’80s adventure movies.
On December 3, the debut episode of Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North is heading to Max at 9 PM ET/PT and HBO, with new episodes releasing each Tuesday through the end of the NFL season.
It’s the first time the popular series will tackle an entire division instead of a single team, and they’re kicking off the experiment with the toughest fighters in the league: the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

If football’s not your thing, the brand-new film from Clint Eastwood might be.
Starring Nicholas Hoult, Juror #2 lands on Max on December 20 and follows a man serving on the jury of a high-profile murder trial. During the trial, he struggles with a dilemma that could change the jury’s minds and potentially convict (or free) the wrong killer.
Juror #2 hit theaters in November, but if older movies are more your thing, then you might be pleased to know that family favorite, The Goonies, is now available to watch on Max.
The 1985 hit has a stellar cast in Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Corey Feldman, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton, John Matuszak, Robert Davi, Joe Pantoliano, Anne Ramsey, and Ke Huy Quan, and follows a young group of boys on the hunt to find a pirate’s long lost treasure.
