The phrase “Blood of my Blood” refers to a Gaelic blood vow, which was created by the Outlander author Diana Gabaldon, and was taken by Jamie and Claire on their rather unexpected wedding day. The vow goes as follows:

“Ye are blood of my blood, and bone of my bone; I give ye my body, that we two might be one. I give ye my spirit, ’til our life shall be done.”

Jamie and Claire’s vow embodies the complexity of their love for each other, highlighting the beginning of a very tumultuous journey filled with many hurdles but also a great number of beautiful moments. The first season of Outlander: Blood of My Blood will consist of 10 episodes, which will take viewers along as the main characters embark on their journey. While there is no specific information about a release date, it will most likely be sometime after the final season of Outlander aired. Since Part 2 of Outlander Season 7 will only air its first episode out of eight on November 22 on Starz and reveal one of the biggest mysteries of Outlander, the last season of the iconic historical TV drama will likely only be released in 2025 or even 2026.
