F1 Singapore GP live updates: Race latest with Lando Norris on pole position

This will be the fifteenth running of the Singapore GP, a nighttime street race that quickly became a staple on the Formula One circuit once it debuted in 2008.

Among active drivers, Lewis Hamilton is the king around Marina Bay, with four wins. Fernando Alonso has won twice, in 2008 and 2010.

The circuit is a harborside locale on the southern shore of the city-state. Singapore’s humidity makes this one of the most physically demanding races of the year, and at least one safety car has appeared in every Singapore GP to date.

Circuit length: 4.94 km (3.07 miles)

Number of laps: 62

Race distance: 306.143 km (190.228 miles)

Lap record: 1:35.867 (Lewis Hamilton, 2023)

First GP: 2008
