The family of former NRL star James Maloney has appealed for help after his 14-year-old son was reported missing.
His partner, Jess, had posted a message on Instagram stating that they were ‘desperately looking’ for their son Kade.
‘He purchased a train ticket at Gosford at 1.51am. We believe he walked from Green Point to Gosford and is likely headed for the Penrith area,’ Jess wrote on Instagram.
‘We are desperate to know he’s OK and if he doesn’t want us to know exactly where he is that’s ok we just desperately want to know he’s safe.
‘Please if you have seen him or heard from him, please get in touch with us. He has James’ phone so James is not contactable.’

New South Wales Police are also appealing to members of the public and have urged members of the public to contact Crime Stoppers if they have any information

New South Wales police are also appealing to members of the public for assistance in finding the teenager.
Police have released a picture of the boy, who was seen leaving a train station while wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of North Queensland Cowboys shorts.

‘Kade Maloney, aged 14, was last seen at Green Point about 10.00pm last night (Saturday 21 December 2024),’ NSW Police wrote in a statement.
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
‘Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.
‘Kade is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall with a medium build, with short light brown hair and blue-coloured eyes.

The Penrith halfback wrote: ‘Keep an eye out around the Penrith area’.
