First Look Teaser for ‘Caddo Lake’ Horror Thriller Feat. Eliza Scanlen

“We’re gonna search the whole lake.” Max has revealed a first look teaser trailer for a horror thriller film titled Caddo Lake, inspired by the real Caddo Lake that rests on the border of Texas and Louisiana. This is getting a direct-to-streaming debut on Max coming up in October for horror season. “What happened here will always be a part of you.” From producer M. Night Shyamalan and writer-directors Celine Held & Logan George. When an 8-year-old girl disappears on the mysterious and sprawling Caddo Lake, a series of past deaths and disappearances begin to link together, altering a broken family’s history forever. Starring Dylan O’Brien and Eliza Scanlen, with Diana Hopper, Caroline Falk, Sam Hennings, Eric Lange, and Lauren Ambrose. This teaser only has a few bits of footage to work this, but this is looking very creepy so far. I like the vibe and the Annihilation-esque part of the marsh he steps into – all of the footage looks solid.

The inspiration for this horror film Caddo Lake was sparked after the two filmmakers, Celine Held and Logan George, came across a photograph of the real Caddo Lake online, leading to many visits to the cypress forest that rests on the border of Texas and Louisiana. The film was shot in late 2021 and 2022 in and around Karnak, Texas. When an eight-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history. Caddo Lake is co-written and co-directed by American genre filmmakers Logan George & Celine Held, director of the film Topside previously, and also episodes of the series “Modern Love”, “Servant”, and “Dark Matter”. It’s produced by Kara Durrett, Josh Godfrey, Ashwin Rajan, and M. Night Shyamalan. Warner Bros will release Caddo Lake direct-to-streaming on Max starting October 10th, 2024 coming soon this fall.
