“All hail the Prince of Darkness!” Peacock has revealed the full trailer for the new horror series streaming in October called Hysteria, featuring the one-and-only Bruce Campbell. As usual, the streaming services are trying to capitalize on the horror season with some new offerings. Hysteria follows a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts who use the town’s sudden interest/fear in the occult to start a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a strange series of events triggers a witch hunt leading right back to them. When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, all of the townspeople get caught up in the hysteria and go after the wrong kids. The series stars Julie Bowen, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis, Nikki Hahn, Anna Camp, Nolan North, with Garret Dillahunt as The Reverend, and Bruce Campbell as Chief Dandridge. There’s also this doc film about the Satanic Panic called Satan Wants You to check out as well. This looks both funny and scary – not an easy thing to pull off.
