Gunfire erupts, man shot by NYPD during dispute over firearm in Bronx

Police shot and wounded a man in the Bronx Friday while responding to an incident over a gun, according to law enforcement sources.

Gunfire erupted at 755 White Plains Road in Clason Point shortly after 3 p.m. during a dispute over a firearm, sources told The Post.

The perpetrator was struck in the left leg, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Officers were not injured in the incident.
