The umpire paid a free kick to give Switkowski a certain goal before it all kicked off.

There were spotfires everywhere as players came in from all angles.

Nearly every player on the ground rushed into Fremantle’s forward 50 with bodies flying everywhere.

There didn’t appear to be any significant injuries, although both sides can expect to be lighter in the pocket after it’s assessed by the match review officer.

The Switkowski goal was Fremantle’s fifth of a dominant term that swung the match in their favour.

They had trailed by 13 points at half-time, but kicked 5.5 to one point to blow the game open.

Fremantle carried their momentum into the final quarter another two goals to all but seal the match.

They would eventually run out 35-point winners to surge back into the top four.

Reid was jeered by the Fremantle fans every time he got the ball, but the emerging superstar was among his side’s best.

He finished the match with 29 possessions, including 15 contested and an equal game-high 10 clearances.

But his ill-discipline was again costly, giving away five free kicks.

Fremantle midfielder duo Andrew Brayshaw and Caleb Serong were brilliant with 36 and 32 disposals respectively.

Up forward, Michael Frederick, Josh Treacy and Tom Emmett all kicked three goals apiece.
