How To Reach Master Lusat’s Location (Sellen’s Quest)

Finding Master Lusat’s location in Elden Ring can be tough, especially if you do not know exactly where to start. Once you acquire the Comet Azur from Primeval Sorcerer Azur in Mt. Gelmir, you can return to Sorceress Sellen to begin her questline, and the first task will involve finding Master Lusat. She will give you a Sellian Sealbreaker, an essential Key Item for locating her former glintstone sorcery tutor. The key itself is a massive hint and will let you know where to start your search in Sellia, the Town of Sorcery.

You can find the Sellia, Town of Sorcery northeast of the Aeonia Swamp, essentially in the center of the region Caelid. If you haven’t explored the area, you can quickly reach the location using the teleporting Trap Chest within the Dragon-Burnt Ruins. You will be instantly transported to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, located relatively close to the northwest of town. Master Lusat is not actually in Sellia but instead locked away in the Sellia Hideaway, a mine accessible through an illusory entrance atop the eastern hill of the Town of Sorcery in Elden Ring.

To enter the Sellia Hideaway and find where Lusat is, you must head up the trail beginning at the Sellia Backstreets Site of Grace. Be wary of rolling ball traps and undying skeletons that spawn along the way. After reaching the Church of Plague, go north to the graveyard and strike the rock behind the cemetery’s center to reveal the hidden cave entrance in Elden Ring.

Before reaching the Church of Plague, you may have to go through the Town of Sorcery. This area is plagued by enemies, some of which can become invisible and appear close to your location. As such, you will need to be wary of your surroundings, lest you will be surprised by an enemy attack. In addition to this, some sorcerers can deal damage from afar, as well as opponents who are lying in wait for an ambush. A great way to navigate this area with more safety is to use the Spectral Steed Whistle and summon Torrent in Elden Ring.

Once you start exploring, it is recommended you venture into the Sellia Hideaway with a lantern, torch, or illuminating spell, as the tunnels are exceptionally dark. Another illusory wall will block the path, yet you will likely realize this as the crystal-mining enemies nearby will be loud. While they are defeated somewhat easily, you should be wary of the enemies present along the path. The paths are often narrow, especially when traversing over crystals, and moving around can lead to your character’s demise with a single slip.

As such, you can use ranged combat to fend them off safely. Do not overestimate the miners since you may be forced to restart exploration back at the Church of Plague. The first large area you will encounter has a pit with a Grafted Scion scurrying about its depths. Those who wish to battle the fiend and loot several items can drop down and do so, yet the pit that holds Master Lusat in Elden Ring will be the one in the following area.

You can recognize which recess to drop into by the long crystal walkway with a hostile snail resting atop it. Jump down but be wary of the Raya Lucaria Sorcerer guarding the site below. After killing the Sorcerer, you will find a bright, glowing ward sealing a small tunnel. Here, you will use Sellen’s Sellian Sealbreaker to dispel the barrier and head down the path to find Master Lusat’s locationin Elden Ring at the very end.

You Must Side With Sellen To Guarantee Lusat’s Set

The next step in Sellen’s questline after finding Master Lusat’s location for the first time is to return to Sorceress Sellen in the Waypoint Ruins of Western Limgrave. There, you will receive a Starlight Shard as a reward. This will initiate more progress through her questline. You will then need to progress through the campaign and, upon defeating Starscourge Radahn , you should visit Sellen once more From here, she will gift you and relocate to the Weeping Peninsula. To be more specific, she moves to the Witchbane Ruins, to the far west of the Weeping Peninsula in Elden Ring.

At this point, you should have already spoken to Jerren before fighting Radahn, but if you haven’t, return to Castle Redmane.

After the events that unfold in Witchbane Ruins, you will need to head to the far north of Liurnia, to the three sisters. If you have already progressed through Ranni’s questline, you should have access to the area and a secret hidden basement. Inside, you will find something related to Sellen and will be able to interact with it thanks to an item that she granted you previously during the questline. This will trigger a new event in Elden Ring after you defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon in Raya Lucaria Academy.

Upon reentering the zone, you will be able to assist or challenge Sellen. At this point, it is of vital importance to assist Sellen if you want access to Master Lusat’s set. If you choose to challenge Sellen, you will be locked out of Lusat’s set and Azur’s set, too. Upon successfully helping Sellen, you can then return to Master Lusat’s location. This time around, instead of a single spell, you will be able to grab all the aforementioned armor pieces from Master Lusat’s location in Elden Ring.
