“He is scary as hell.” A24 has debuted the second official trailer for a horror movie called Heretic, made by the filmmaker duo known as Beck/Woods (also of Her Summer, Spread, Nightlight, Haunt, dino movie 65). This just premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festivals to many positive reviews (which are quoted in here), and it will open in theaters early this November. “A wickedly entertaining twist on holy horror starring a never-better Hugh Grant.” When two Mormon missionaries attempt to convert a man, it turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated, as he traps them in a maze within his home. Heretic stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East – that’s it. Everyone is praising Grant’s twisted, sneaky performance in this where he goes off on these two religious women and torments them. Have a look below.
