Wrestling: Vinesh Phogat stuns Japan’s Yui Susaki to qualify for quarters. It’s a big shock as the Japanese wrestler was the reigning Olympic champion and four-time World Champion. She won gold at the Tokyo Games without conceding a single point.

Vinesh’s quarterfinal bout scheduled for today at 4:20 PM. She faces Oksana Livach of Ukraine for a place in the semifinals.

Table tennis: India men’s team lose to China in round of 16.

UPCOMING

Later on Tuesday, the men’s hockey team will play Germany in the men’s semifinal. India, buoyed by wins against Australia and Great Britain, will aim to qualify for their first final since 1980 but it won’t be an easy task as Germany, the world champions, have been the best performing team at this Olympics.
