When the cash is flowing why not grab it up while you can?
Internet sensation and burgeoning boxing star Jake Paul and his brother, fellow YouTuber and WWE superstar Logan Paul, appear set to fight in a boxing match slated for March 27.
Details are scarce, but the brothers posted on social media a graphic of the two facing off, with Logan adding some context.
“The moment you’ve waited a decade for… March 27th on @streamonmax,” both Logan and Jake posted on social media.
This is far from guaranteed to be a fight as the Pauls — known marketing savants — are famous for pulling these types of stunts for publicity: Logan previously pulled a marketing ploy that showed his bus under attack from angry fans who appeared to be pelting him with PRIME drink bottles.
With no fight location announced, this is best left as a believe-it-when-you-see-it for now.
Representatives from the Paul brothers’ camps did not respond to requests for comment on whether this was a promotion for an actual fight.
HBO has long been a home for boxing, but it has branched into streaming live sporting events like Bellator MMA and NHL and NBA games on TNT with is MAX service.
Jake has been boxing professionally for several years now, amassing an 11-1 record after he controversially defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson by decision in November.
Logan, 0-1 as a pro, would profile as Jake’s least qualified opponent to fight him since Ben Askren in 2021, as Logan is not a decorated striker in any other sport, nor has he competed professionally in mixed martial arts.
He has spent most of his time as a showman in World Wrestling Entertainment, and this fight would in some way require the sign-off of TKO Holdings, the company that now owns the WWE and UFC.
If this fight were to happen, Jake and Logan would stand to make millions. Jake’s bout with Tyson netted the fighter a reported $40 million.
Many criticized Jake for saying he did not want to knock out Tyson when it was clear the 58-year-old was not fighting back with any intent to win.
Logan has fought three times in exhibition bouts, defeating jiu-jitsu savant Dillon Danis by disqualification in 2023 and fought 44-year-old Floyd Mayweather to a draw in an exhibition bout in 2021.
