Jake Paul Defeats Mike Tyson by Unanimous Decision

After months of waiting, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul finally faced off in a historic boxing match that brought together generations of the sport. The bout was live-streamed on Netflix as the first-ever of its kind on the world-famous streamer.

Starting with the opening round, both opponents came out with fire. However, Tyson appeared to be the aggressor, landing more power punches.

That fire did not last long, as Tyson’s age began to show through rounds two through eight. Though the hope was that Tyson would have been able to get things going, he looked stiff, just taking big shots from Paul.

After what turned out to be a lopsided affair, Paul defeated Tyson by unanimous decision. Paul is now 11-1 in his career.

The biggest issue with the fight being booked in the first place was the age of Tyson, who is now 58 years old. To Tyson’s credit, he stayed in through eight rounds with a boxer who is 31 years younger than him.

Paul is only 27 years old and has been making a name for himself by boxing celebrities since he emerged on the scene in 2020. After securing a 10-1 record since then, Paul has taken on the likes of former UFC fighters like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Mike Perry.

Paul’s only loss was to Tommy Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Despite the loss, Paul has been defeating his opponents mostly by TKO/KO. The win against Tyson is the sixth decision in his young boxing career.

Despite Tyson being 58 years old, he was the biggest challenge for the young Paul. Tyson proved through his training videos that he still had plenty of power and electricity, but that was not the case during his bout with Paul.
