The Boston Celtics’ star duo shined during a 142-105 blowout win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum helped the Celtics cruise to a victory in a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Finals.
Brown led the way with a season-high 44 points, shooting 16-24 from the field and connecting on six of his 11 attempts from three-point territory. He added five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Tatum struggled to find his rhythm from behind the arc but still managed to record a double-double, scoring 22 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. He also dished out four assists and racked up three steals of his own.
Boston took a 26-13 lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back, maintaining a double-digit advantage for the remainder of the contest. The Celtics showcased their deep accuracy against Indiana, hitting 23 of their 57 three-point attempts.
Fans were impressed with Boston’s all-around performance.

For the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton finished with 19 points and nine assists while shooting 6-13 from the field. Haliburton has now failed to score 20 points in five straight contests.
With the win, Boston snapped a brief two-game losing streak to improve to 23-8. Meanwhile, Indiana fell to 15-17.
