New York Attorney General Tish James is proving yet again she’s committed to fighting for woke insanity, no matter the damage she does: She filed suit Monday to block Nassau County’s ban on biological males competing with women and girls at county-owned athletic facilities.
Let’s be clear.
The ban, passed by the local legislature, is 100% correct, and County Executive Bruce Blakeman was dead right to sign it into law.
Biological males have no place competing against women in any sport; men, even after they’ve transitioned, enjoy massive size and strength advantages over women.
That’s why, again and again, we see biological males totally dominating the women they compete against.
Swimmer Lia Thomas, for example, went from a total mediocrity when competing against fellow biological males to a national champ when competing against women.
Trans woman Aayden Gallagher blew out the competition in Oregon to become a state champ.
And on and on and on the list goes, in sports from cycling to volleyball to water polo.
The vast majority of Americans, by the way, are on Nassau’s side here: 66% oppose trans athletes competing on girls’ sports teams.
And countless female athletes, from legends like tennis champ Martina Navratilova on down, have loudly condemned the practice.
Heck, even Caitlyn Jenner — a former Olympic gold medalist who is herself a trans woman — thinks it’s a bad idea and publicly backed the Nassau law.
So James, as usual, is fighting a battle on behalf of a woke minority determined to place ideology above reality and let biological men dominate women’s spaces.
She may well win her suit; if so, we hope Nassau keeps up the fight.
If the woke bullying prospers, the losers will be girls and women.
