It was the “Paul-Star game” indeed.
Olivia “Livvy” Dunne reflected on boyfriend Paul Skenes’ first MLB All-Star experience Wednesday in a series of new photos shared on Instagram.
Captioning the post, “Paul-Star game highlights,” the LSU gymnast and social media sensation can be seen cozying up to the rookie Pirates pitcher in one snap while posing for a playful mirror selfie in a National League jersey in another.
Dunne, 21, and Skenes, 22, also smiled in a separate pic aboard a private jet en route to the All-Star Game, which got underway Tuesday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Skenes, who has continued to enthrall the league following his electric MLB debut in May, threw a scoreless first inning Tuesday in an eventual 5-3 loss to the American League.
Dunne could be seen cheering Skenes on in the stands, with the Fox broadcast panning to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shouting, “Let’s go, Paul!”
Skenes, who confirmed his relationship with Dunne last summer, told reporters after the All-Star Game was a unique experience.
“I don’t think I blacked out when I was out there, but I was pretty close,” he said.
The first-overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, Skenes was the first rookie to be named a starting pitcher for the MLB All-Star Game since Hideo Nomo nearly three decades ago.
Skenes threw 11 strikes out of 16 pitches during the outing.
He and Dunne dazzled on the red carpet before the Midsummer Classic as the couple held hands and posed for pics.
Skenes — who currently boasts a 1.90 ERA — and the Pirates will return to action Friday as they begin a three-game series against the Phillies in Pittsburgh.
As for Dunne, a frequent visitor of PNC Park, she’s gearing up for her fifth and final season as a member of LSU’s gymnastics team.
Dunne and the Lady Tigers captured the program’s first-ever gymnastics national title in April.
The New Jersey native confirmed her return to LSU earlier this month, posting on Instagram that she’s “Not Dunne yet.”
