Man charged with murder, extradited interstate after body found in caravan

A man has been charged with murder after a body was found inside a caravan at a storage facility in Caboolture, north of Queensland.

The body of a 60-year-old man was found at a commercial storage facility on Morayfield Road, South Caboolture on Sunday, December 1.

Police allege the dead man had been assaulted elsewhere, and moved into the caravan earlier that day.

It is believed the man and his alleged attacker knew each other, and that the attacker left the area before police arrived.

This morning, a 47-year-old was arrested about 240 kilometres away in Ballina, NSW.

Police found the Caboolture man at a motel.

He was charged with one count of murder (domestic violence), and faced Ballina Local Court this morning.

He was extradited to Queensland, and has been kept in custody to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court tomorrow.
