Marvin Harrison Jr. had jokes for his former teammate on Friday.

After Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord, formerly Ohio State’s starting quarterback, recorded a 19-yard touchdown run against Stanford, Harrison took to social media to let McCord know that he was impressed while dishing out a backhanded compliment.

“That was the most athletic thing I’ve ever seen you do,” Harrison said in the post directed towards McCord.

It’s no secret McCord isn’t known for his rushing ability. The senior player has -68 rushing yards across his four-year career, going backward more often than he goes forward. He showed some flashes of his running ability on Friday though, so maybe he’s unlocked a new part of his game.

What McCord lacks in speed, he makes up for with his passing ability. He had 3,170 passing yards and 24 touchdowns in his first season as the Buckeyes starter a season ago, and Harrison was the recipient of many of his passes.

Harrison had 1,211 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns a season ago, winning the Biletnikoff Award and being named a Heisman Trophy finalist. Now Harrison is looking to find similar success in the professional ranks, and he’s off to a good start with the Arizona Cardinals after recording 130 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 2.

McCord is finding success so far in his senior year, collecting 735 passing yards and eight touchdowns through three games, and he’ll be looking to join Harrison in the NFL next year.
