The third season of “The White Lotus” is already one of the most anticipated series of 2025. The Emmy favorite has left Italy for the tropical pleasures of Thailand and will find season one stand-out Natasha Rothwell returning as Belinda Lindsey along with newcomers Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Aimee Lou Wood, and Patrick Schwarzenegger joining the fold. Oh, and the incredible Parker Posey, who graces us with a delightful Southern accent.

During a presentation of HBO’s upcoming slate, the assembled LA-based media were given an early preview of Mike White’s latest opus that once again appears to tackle the eternal conflict between the privileged and not-so-privileged. From what we can tell, Isaacs’ character has brought his wife (Posey) to the Thai resort along with their three kids. Unbeknownst to them, it turns out Papa’s about to lose all his money and go to jail (for what is unclear). Posey’s character, on the other hand, verbalizes that she couldn’t go on living if she wasn’t rich (uh oh). Bibb, Monaghan, and Coon are all high school friends on a girls’ trip who may truly not enjoy each other’s company. Goggins’ storyline is unclear beyond the fact he is misidentified as the father of his girlfriend, played by Lou Wood. Rothwell’s narrative is still under wraps.
Cinematographer Ben Kutchins, who shot season one, returns for the third go-around and appears to have outdone himself. The show looks stunning, and it’s not just because of the lush Thai locations.
Before introducing the trailer, which should be online imminently, Bloys let slip that White has already pitched him a storyline for a four season. But the seasoned executive won’t get ahead of himself, noting, “I’m not going to tell you what it is, but no, Mike, obviously, if he wants to move forward and do the fourth season, we’ll do the fourth season of course.”
So, yes, expect season four sooner rather than later.
“The White Lotus” season 3 debuts on HBO and Max sometime in the first half of 2025.
