“Everything’s hard now,” Kidman said, addressing the struggles she sees in film production today.

“I definitely feel it. I’m sure most people in the industry feel it,” she said.

“You’re just along for the ride, and it is very much ups and downs and rollercoasters, and you just go, ‘Hold on tight’.”

Amid the uncertainties, Kidman shared a key piece of advice she gave her children — embrace opportunities without regret.

“Hold on and go for it and take the opportunities when they arise. Jump in and try something. The worst you can do is fail.”

Kidman has balanced her Hollywood career with family life, raising two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 13, with her husband, superstar country musician Keith Urban.

She also shares an adopted daughter Bella and son Connor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Kidman, now a Hollywood veteran with an international career dating back to the late 1980s, continues to embrace new challenges, including the upcoming erotic thriller Babygirl, set for release in 2024.

“If it’s seen as a risk, I’ll take these risks,” she said.

The actress has had a busy year with back-to-back roles, including The Perfect Couple, Special Ops: Lioness Season 2, and A Family Affair, as well as numerous red-carpet appearances.

Despite her professional success, Kidman faced a profound personal loss when her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, died in September.

She told Vanity Fair her mother was “my compass in a way”.

“It’s like losing that, but at the same time going, OK, well, this is for her then.

“She loved my career, she really did. She would be there through all the ups and downs, all of it.”

Kidman and her sister Antonia later shared a joint statement on Instagram along with a series of family photos.

“My sister and I along with our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Kidman wrote on September 13.

“Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express.

“Thank you from our whole family for respecting our privacy as we take care of each other.”
